  • SCED Graduate Student Research Symposium 

The Department of Mathematics and Science Education (SCED) is pleased to announce the 5th Boğaziçi University SCED Graduate Student Research Symposium. We aim to showcase the quality and diversity of graduate-level research in our department and to provide students with the opportunity to practice and improve their communication skills with their peers and faculty. The symposium also aims to demonstrate the importance of graduate-level research.

This event will feature graduate student researchers. Participants are expected to present their research during the symposium. The symposium will be held on May 21, 2025, between 10.00-16.30 at Demir Demirgil Hall. 

We expect all graduate students to participate in the symposium.

  • Doç . Dr. Engin Ader, Öğretmen eğitiminde sanal ve artırılmış gerçeklik dönemi başlıyor!

Boğaziçi Üniversitesi’nden Doç. Dr. Engin Ader, Dr. İnci Ayhan ve Doç. Dr. Emre Uğur’un ortak projeleri kapsamında Sanal Gerçeklik Laboratuvarı (BUVIAR) kuruldu. Son teknoloji yapay zekâ ve makine öğrenme metotlarını işleyerek orijinal bilişsel modeller elde edilmesi planlanan BUVIAR ile Boğaziçi Üniversitesi’nde sanal gerçeklik alanında ileri çalışmalar yapılması hedefleniyor.

  • Prof. Dr. Ebru Kaya, Renewal of Honorary Research Fellowship

The Honorary Research Fellowship given to Prof. Ebru Kaya by the Department of Education, University of Oxford in 2019 has been renewed for a further two years, until 31 October 2023.

  • Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Gaye Defne Ceyhan-MacLellan, Sistem Düşüncesiyle Çevre Eğitimi ve Dünya İklim Oyunu Projesi başlıyor! 

​İklim değişikliği ve çevre konularını sistem düşüncesi yöntemiyle eğitime dönüştüren "Sistem Düşüncesiyle Çevre Eğitimi ve Dünya İklim Oyunu" projesi Birleşmiş Milletler Kalkınma Programı (UNDP) Türkiye Hızlandırma Laboratuvarı desteği ile Sistem Düşüncesi Derneği, Darüşşafaka Eğitim Kurumları ve Boğaziçi Üniversitesi uygulama partnerliğiyle hayata geçiyor.

  • Doç Dr. Sevil Akaygün, Küresel Vatandaşlık Eğitimi üzerine bir işbirliği projesine başlıyor!

Hollanda Bilim Diplomasi Fonu (Science Diplomacy Fund) tarafından  desteklenen, “Ortak bir Amacı Başarmaya Doğru: Sosyo-bilimsel  Konuların Fen Eğitiminde Kullanımı Yoluyla Küresel Vatandaşlık ve  Sürdürülebilir Kalkınma Eğitimi” başlıklı, Mart-Aralık 2021 arasında  yürütülecek projede Hollanda’dan Eindhoven Teknoloji Üniversitesi ve  Radboud Üniversitesi ile Türkiye’den Boğaziçi Üniversitesi yer almaktadır.
