Fatma Aslan-Tutak was graduated from Bogazici University, Secondary School Mathematics Teaching Program with high honor degree (2004). Upon receiving PhD degree in mathematics education from University of Florida (2009), she started to work at Bogazici University (2010). Dr. Aslan-Tutak has been taking part in national and international research projects as well as in comissions on developing national mathematics curricula (Ministry of Education). She took roles in biannual Congress of European Society for Research in Mathematics Education by serving as co-leader of the group TWG:20 Mathematics Teacher Knowledge, Beliefs and Identity” ( 2014-2019) and has been woking as the leader of the group since 2019. Dr. Aslan-Tutak’s research insterests are teacher education, mathematical knowledge for teaching, mentoring in teacher education, measuring mathematics teachers’ knowledge, comparative teacher education studies, professional development to improve inservice teacher practices, critical mathematics education, classroom based assessment, integrated STEM education.
